Established (30+ Years) Premier Company Seeking Part-Time SolarWinds Administrator in Plano, TX
An established technology company with over 30 years in business is seeking a Part-Time SolarWinds Administrator with 2+ years of hands-on experience to support its enterprise monitoring platform on a hybrid basis in Plano, TX. This role is expected to run approximately 15-20 hours per week while the company builds out its monitoring and infrastructure needs, with the potential to expand in scope over time.
Offer:
Hourly rate: $40-$55+ per hour depending on experience
Part-time schedule of approximately 15-20 hours per week
Hybrid schedule based in Plano, TX
Flexible scheduling within core business hours
Potential to expand hours or scope as the company's needs evolve
Qualifications:
At least two years of experience administering SolarWinds in an enterprise production environment
Strong working knowledge of SNMP, WMI, ICMP, Syslog, NetFlow, REST APIs, and SQL
Experience supporting both Windows Server and Linux operating systems
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred, with equivalent experience considered
SolarWinds Certified Professional certification a plus
Strong analytical troubleshooting skills and excellent written and verbal communication
Ability to work independently with minimal day-to-day oversight
Responsibilities:
Administer, maintain, secure, back up, upgrade, and optimize the SolarWinds platform and its supporting components
Configure and maintain Orion Platform, Network Performance Monitor, Server and Application Monitor, Network Configuration Manager, NetFlow Traffic Analyzer, and IP Address Manager
Develop and maintain monitoring standards, templates, dashboards, reports, alerts, and thresholds
Troubleshoot monitoring issues and escalate infrastructure concerns as needed
Provide recommendations on monitoring architecture and coverage as the environment matures
Maintain documentation on monitoring configuration and standards
