Job description
SharePoint Administrator
Based in Lawrence, MA, our tech team is seeking a SharePoint Administrator to lead the administration, design, governance, and optimization of our SharePoint and Microsoft 365 collaboration environment. This role will be responsible for managing SharePoint architecture, document repositories, permissions, workflows, automation, and user adoption while supporting enterprise-wide collaboration and information management initiatives.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Administer and maintain SharePoint Online environments, site collections, document libraries, permissions, and workflows
- Design and implement SharePoint site architecture, repository structures, metadata standards, navigation, and content organization strategies
- Configure and manage Microsoft 365 collaboration solutions including SharePoint, Power Apps, Power Automate, and related technologies
- Establish governance standards, document management processes, retention policies, and security controls
- Develop and support automated workflows, business process improvements, and system integrations
- Monitor system performance, user activity, storage utilization, and platform health while implementing continuous improvements
- Provide end-user support, training, and troubleshooting for SharePoint and collaboration tools
- Manage backup procedures, disaster recovery support, version control, permissions management, and compliance initiatives
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver scalable SharePoint solutions
- Support reporting and analytics initiatives utilizing Power BI and Microsoft technologies
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
- 2+ years of SharePoint Administration experience
- 4+ years of experience supporting SharePoint, Microsoft 365, or enterprise collaboration platforms
- Experience administering SharePoint Online, Office 365, Azure, and related Microsoft technologies
- Experience designing SharePoint sites, document libraries, permissions structures, and information architecture
- Experience with Power Apps, Power BI, Power Automate, PowerShell, and SharePoint workflows
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, SQL Server, information security, and Microsoft collaboration tools
- Familiarity with Team Foundation Server, Visio, HTML, and process modeling tools
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, training, and stakeholder management skills
