For over 35 years, we have provided comprehensive accounting, tax, and consulting support to closely held businesses, middle-market entities, and high-net-worth individuals across domestic, multi-state, and international jurisdictions. We combine deep technical expertise with a proactive, client-focused model that helps our clients achieve their long-term business strategies.

We are seeking an experienced and vision-driven Senior Tax Manager (with a pathway to Director) to join our executive leadership team. In this role, you will oversee complex tax engagements, mentor rising staff, drive firm growth, and serve as a primary trusted advisor. If you are looking for a firm that pairs sophisticated regional and international work with a genuine commitment to work-life integration and social impact, we would love to connect.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Identify complex tax issues, develop practical client solutions, and make data-driven decisions aligned with firm goals. Drive internal practice efficiency by bringing innovative software and workflow ideas to execution.

  • Client Portfolio Management: Take full ownership of assigned client groups, serving as a primary advisor. Maintain proactive communication, anticipate client needs, and deliver high-value, forward-looking insights.

  • Complex Tax Advisory: Conduct high-level tax research on intricate corporate, partnership, multi-state, and international matters, drafting technical memos and position papers for internal and client presentation.

  • Team Development & Mentorship: Supervise, train, and coach staff and senior accountants through structured delegation, regular performance feedback, and leading internal technical CPE training sessions.

  • Business Development & Community Engagement: Expand client relationships, participate in proposal presentations, and represent the firm through active participation in professional networks, board positions, and local community organizations.

Qualifications

  • Licensure & Education: Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license required; Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or Taxation.

  • Experience: 8+ years of progressive public accounting experience in taxation (10+ years considered for Director-level responsibilities).

  • Technical Depth: Deep expertise managing complex federal, state, and multi-state compliance and advisory for closely held businesses and their owners. International tax experience is a plus.

  • Leadership & Vision: Proven track record of managing multi-disciplinary team resources, mentoring staff, and maintaining strong client retention.

  • Communication: Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills with an ability to translate dense tax regulations into clear business strategy.

Benefits

  • Award-Winning Workplace Culture: Join an organization recognized as a Best Firm to Work For and a Philly Favorites Gold Winner, driven by an inclusive, collaborative environment and an active internal Social Impact department.

  • Competitive Compensation & Bonuses: Market-based base salaries supplemented by discretionary performance bonuses awarded twice per year.

  • Work-Life Integration: Flexible working schedules, hybrid/remote options, and a firm culture centered around employee well-being and realistic seasonal targets.

  • 100% Employer-Paid Protections: Fully paid short-term and long-term disability insurance coverage.

  • Retirement & Savings Options: 401(k) and Roth 401(k) retirement plans featuring a competitive company match.

  • Generous PTO & Holidays: Comprehensive paid time off package plus two floating holidays to recharge.

  • Continuous Professional Growth: Firm-sponsored CPE reimbursement, dedicated in-house technical training programs, and a clear track toward firm partnership.
