Senior Project Manager - Multifamily Groundup Construction

A leading and well-established general contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee large-scale ground-up multifamily construction projects. This leadership role is responsible for driving project success from preconstruction through final turnover while maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, and project teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of ground-up multifamily construction projects.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, contracts, procurement, and financial reporting.
  • Oversee preconstruction activities, including budgeting, value engineering, and project strategy.
  • Coordinate and lead project teams consisting of Project Managers, Project Engineers, Superintendents, subcontractors, and consultants.
  • Ensure project milestones, quality standards, and safety requirements are met.
  • Manage client communication and maintain strong stakeholder relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify project risks and implement proactive solutions to keep projects on track.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to project team members.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in commercial construction project management.
  • 5+ years managing ground-up multifamily projects.
  • Demonstrated success managing projects valued at $30M+ from inception through completion.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, cost control, scheduling, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Experience with project management software, scheduling tools, and construction financial reporting.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and maintain strong client relationships.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with podium, wrap, garden-style, or high-density multifamily developments.
  • Experience overseeing multifamily projects ranging from 150+ units.
  • LEED, PMP, or other industry certifications are a plus.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and mentor project staff.
