Senior Platform Engineer (Hybrid)
Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to own and evolve our core infrastructure and internal developer platform in a hybrid work model. You will design, build, and operate reliable, scalable, and secure platform services that enable fast product delivery while meeting fintech compliance requirements. This role partners closely with engineering, security, and product teams to drive automation, observability, and platform roadmaps in a fast-moving startup environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate cloud infrastructure and internal platform components to support production services, developer workflows, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Implement and maintain infrastructure-as-code, automation, and configuration management (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).
- Build and operate container platforms and orchestration (Kubernetes), including upgrades, scaling, and multi-tenant patterns.
- Own and improve pipeline reliability and developer experience for continuous integration and continuous delivery.
- Instrument observability and alerting (metrics, logging, tracing) and lead incident response, RCA and post-mortems to improve system resiliency.
- Partner with security, compliance, and legal teams to ensure platform controls meet fintech standards (PCI, SOC2, GDPR) and help implement automated compliance checks.
- Drive cost optimization, capacity planning, and performance tuning across cloud and platform services.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to onboard services to the platform and provide mentoring, best practices and runbooks.
- Define and execute platform roadmap, prioritizing developer productivity, reliability, and security in a startup setting.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in platform engineering, infrastructure, or DevOps roles; experience in start up enviornments.
- Proven experience with major cloud providers (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and designing resilient cloud architectures.
- Strong expertise with infrastructure-as-code tooling (Terraform, CloudFormation) and configuration management.
- Deep experience operating Kubernetes and container ecosystems, plus CI/CD systems (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.).
- Solid background in observability tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, distributed tracing) and incident management.
- Practical knowledge of security and compliance frameworks relevant to fintech (PCI, SOC2, GDPR) and experience implementing controls and audits.
- Experience working in startups or high-growth environments with a pragmatic, hands-on approach and strong cross-functional communication skills.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience; willingness to work in a hybrid schedule
