Key Responsibilities
- Manage employment litigation matters from inception through resolution, including strategy development, discovery, motion practice, depositions, mediations, and trial preparation.
- Defend employers in a broad range of workplace disputes involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and wage and hour claims.
- Handle complex representative and class-based employment litigation matters.
- Serve as a primary contact for employers, opposing counsel, and other parties throughout the litigation process.
- Provide employment law counseling and guidance on workplace policies, investigations, compliance issues, and risk management matters as needed.
Qualifications / Nice to Have
Must Have
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Active California Bar membership in good standing.
- 5+ years of labor and employment litigation experience.
- Experience managing depositions, written discovery, and motion practice.
- Experience representing employers in employment-related disputes.
Nice to Have
- Experience with wage and hour litigation, representative actions, and employment class actions.
- Experience conducting workplace investigations.
- Experience advising employers on compliance, handbook drafting, and workplace policies.
- Portable business and/or interest in developing a practice.

- Compensation: $180,000 - $350,000+ DOE
