Senior HVAC Project Manager
A leading mechanical contractor is seeking a highly skilled Senior HVAC Project Manager with 5+ years of experience in commercial mechanical construction. This role is ideal for a driven professional who excels at full project ownership and thrives in fast paced, technically demanding environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all project activities after estimating and buyout
- Manage subcontractors and coordinate with general contractors, engineers, and architects
- Develop and maintain construction schedules and track progress for all trades
- Review submittals and expedite equipment and material deliveries
- Prepare monthly billings and monitor job costs
- Track, price, and negotiate change orders
- Oversee piping, plumbing, and sheet metal field supervisors
- Ensure quality, safety, and compliance throughout the project lifecycle
Required Experience
- Commercial, institutional, and healthcare mechanical project experience
- Mechanical contract values ranging from 3M to 20M or larger
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, especially chilled water systems and components
- Working knowledge of piping, sheet metal, and controls
- Plumbing project management experience is a plus
- Proficiency with computers and project management software
