Title: Senior Food Scientist - Product Development (Food & Beverage)
Location: Indianapolis, IN 46268
Salary: $100,000 - $125,000 + Bonus + Relocation Allowance

At our Indianapolis facility, we focus on manufacturing operations, product innovation, and expansion into new beverage and nutrition technologies. As a Senior Product Development Food Scientist, you will lead and drive product innovation, renovation, and alternate material projects across multiple categories including protein and nutrition beverages, creamers, sweeteners, liquid concentrates, tea, coffee, and flavored drinks.
What You Will Be Doing
- Lead product development projects from concept to commercialization, including innovation, renovation, and alternate materials
- Provide leadership in food science and R&D, guiding cross functional teams and project stakeholders
- Design new products based on targeted flavor, texture, color, shelf life, and nutritional content while ensuring compliance with government and industry standards
- Create nutrition labels and ingredient lists using labeling software and regulatory knowledge
- Develop specifications for finished products, batching instructions, and oversee pilot plant and commercial scale up trials
What You Need for this Position
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science or related discipline required (Master's degree preferred)
- 7+ years of product development experience in the food industry; dairy protein experience preferred
- Proven track record leading projects from concept to commercialization
- Strong problem solving skills and ability to identify and drive improvements
- Working knowledge of government regulations and certification standards (Kosher, Halal, Organic)
