Job description
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in designing, planning, and overseeing engineering projects, focusing on site design, stormwater pollution prevention plans (SWPPP), and erosion and sediment control. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of grading, drainage, utilities, hydrology, and hydraulics, ensuring projects meet both client specifications and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage civil engineering projects from conception through completion.
- Design and prepare engineering plans for site development, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct hydrological and hydraulic analyses to support project designs.
- Develop and implement SWPPP and erosion control plans for construction projects.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate civil engineering solutions with other engineering disciplines.
- Review and approve project designs and specifications prepared by junior engineers and consultants.
- Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on site design and utilities.
- Strong knowledge of SWPPP, erosion and sediment control practices, grading, and drainage design.
- Proficient in using civil engineering software tools for design and analysis.
- Excellent project management and communication skills.
