Senior Accountant
Located: Vernon, CT (Hybrid schedule)
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our finance team. This role is critical to maintaining our financial integrity, ensuring compliance with various regulations, and providing insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare tax filings and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Manage the month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring proper coding and timely payments.
- Assist with budget preparation and forecasting, providing variance analysis and insights.
- Coordinate and support annual audits, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Utilize QuickBooks for financial reporting and maintain accurate records.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- CPA certification or CPA Candidate in process, REQUIRED!
- Minimum 3+ years of relevant public accounting experience.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and tax regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
