Job description

Scheduler

Scheduler (Construction/Data Center | Mission Critical)

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Scheduler to develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules for construction and mission-critical data center projects. The Scheduler will produce integrated master schedules, perform schedule analysis and risk assessments, and support project controls to ensure projects meet scope, cost, and time objectives. The ideal candidate is proficient in Primavera P6 and familiar with EVM, IMS development, and TIA requirements for mission-critical facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 (P6) for construction and data center projects.
  • Create and manage Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) that integrate multiple disciplines, subcontractors, and long-lead items.
  • Perform schedule risk analysis, critical path analysis, and time impact analyses to identify schedule vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Support Earned Value Management (EVM) by aligning schedule activities with cost accounts, providing schedule inputs for performance measurement and forecasting.
  • Prepare schedule narratives, baseline reports, recovery plans, and periodic status updates for project teams and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with project managers, construction managers, subcontractors, and engineering teams to collect progress data and update schedules.
  • Review and incorporate TIA and mission-critical requirements (redundancy, testing, commissioning) into program schedules to ensure compliance with technical and regulatory standards.
  • Monitor long-lead procurement and sequencing of critical materials and equipment to minimize schedule risk.
  • Facilitate schedule review meetings, present schedule scenarios and change impacts, and document schedule-related decisions.
  • Maintain schedule libraries, logs of schedule changes, and archive baselines for audits and contract compliance.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of scheduling experience on construction or data center projects, with demonstrated experience supporting mission-critical facilities.
  • Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6 (scheduling, resource loading, leveling, baselines, and reporting).
  • Strong understanding of Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) development and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) principles and how schedules interface with cost performance reporting.
  • Familiarity with TIA standards and requirements relevant to data center and telecommunications infrastructure.
  • Proven ability to perform schedule risk and critical path analyses; experience with time impact analysis tools preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, with experience producing schedule narratives and presenting schedule status to leadership and clients.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple project schedules concurrently under tight deadlines.
  • Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, or related field preferred; relevant scheduling certifications (PMI-SP, AACE PSP/SP) are a plus.
