Safety Manager

Safety Manager  - Mission Critical 
Salary: $110K-$170K (salary depends on experience)
Location: Tulsa, OK


Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Safety Manager to lead and oversee health, safety and environmental programs for mission critical facilities, including data centers and commercial construction projects. The Safety Manager will develop and implement safety policies, ensure regulatory compliance, coordinate with operations and construction teams, and drive a proactive safety culture that protects personnel, assets and operations in high-availability environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead development, implementation and continuous improvement of site-specific and enterprise-wide safety programs for mission-critical facilities (data centers, commercial projects).
  • Manage day-to-day safety operations, including hazard identification, risk assessments, job hazard analyses (JHAs), and safety planning for construction and maintenance activities.
  • Serve as the primary safety point of contact for operations, construction teams, contractors, and clients; provide guidance and oversight to superintendents, safety coordinators and supervisors.
  • Develop, deliver and track safety training, toolbox talks and orientation programs; ensure competency and certifications are maintained across teams.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections, audits and behavioral observations; document findings, enforce corrective actions and verify their effectiveness.
  • Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses; prepare timely reports, drive corrective/preventive actions and communicate lessons learned.

 

Qualifications

  • Required: Proven experience as a Safety Manager or similar role with direct responsibility for mission-critical facilities (data centers) and/or commercial construction projects.
  • Minimum 3+ years of progressive safety experience, including time in mission-critical or high-availability environments.
  • Demonstrated experience managing or collaborating with Safety Directors, EHS Managers, Safety Coordinators, Safety Officers, Superintendents, and Safety Supervisors.
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations, NFPA standards, electrical safety (NFPA 70E), lockout/tagout, fall protection, confined space entry and permit programs.
  • Certifications preferred: OSHA 30, CSP/ASP, NEBOSH or equivalent; First Aid/CPR and AED certified.
