Residential Construction Superintendent

Residential Construction Superintendent
Location: Canton, TX (Greater Dallas Area)
Salary: $85,000 - $120,000+ (Depends on experience)

Our client is seeking an experienced Residential Construction Superintendent to oversee residential construction, renovation, and specialty projects throughout East Texas. This individual will play a key role in managing day-to-day field operations, coordinating subcontractors, maintaining project schedules, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on construction professional who takes ownership of their projects, communicates effectively with clients and trade partners, and has a strong understanding of residential construction methods and best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all field activities from project kickoff through completion.
  • Monitor workmanship and ensure quality standards are maintained throughout construction.
  • Review plans, specifications, and project documents to ensure work is completed correctly.
  • Conduct regular site walks and proactively resolve construction issues.
  • Maintain jobsite safety and enforce company safety standards.
  • Coordinate inspections, deliveries, and project milestones.
  • Communicate project progress, challenges, and schedule updates to management and clients.
  • Manage punch list activities and project closeout.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in a Superintendent, Construction Manager, or similar field leadership role.
  • Experience managing residential construction, renovation, remodeling, or custom home projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction scheduling, sequencing, and project execution.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to manage subcontractors and maintain positive jobsite relationships.

Preferred Experience

  • Custom home construction.
  • Residential renovations and additions.
  • High-end interior finishes, millwork, cabinetry, or finish carpentry.
  • Experience using construction management or project scheduling software.
