Position Overview
The Refrigeration/Ammonia Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of refrigeration and ammonia systems in commercial and industrial settings. This role requires expertise in troubleshooting and electrical and mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and configure refrigeration and ammonia systems in various commercial and industrial facilities.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on refrigeration systems to ensure efficient operation.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with refrigeration and ammonia systems, including rack systems.
- Ensure compliance with EPA regulations and safety standards in all maintenance and repair activities.
- Maintain accurate records of service and repairs performed on refrigeration systems.
- Collaborate with other technicians and staff to optimize system performance and minimize downtime.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in refrigeration or HVAC preferred.
- EPA Certification for handling refrigerants.
- NATE certification is a plus.
- Proven experience in refrigeration and ammonia systems, preferably in commercial and industrial environments.
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and attention to detail.
