Real Estate Litigation Attorney - 6-9 YOE

Real Estate Litigation Attorney | New York City | $270,000-$300,000

A national law firm is seeking an experienced Real Estate Litigation Attorney to join a highly regarded New York practice representing property owners, developers, landlords, commercial tenants, cooperative and condominium boards, property managers, and other stakeholders in complex real estate disputes.

This role offers the opportunity to handle sophisticated litigation matters involving commercial real estate, construction disputes, leasing issues, property rights, development projects, and business-related litigation.

Responsibilities

  • Handle complex commercial real estate litigation matters from inception through resolution
  • Represent clients in state and federal court proceedings, arbitrations, mediations, and other dispute resolution forums
  • Manage disputes involving commercial leases, property rights, construction projects, development agreements, and related contractual matters
  • Draft and argue motions, pleadings, briefs, and other litigation-related documents
  • Conduct and manage discovery, depositions, hearings, and settlement negotiations
  • Advise clients regarding rights and obligations under leases, licenses, purchase agreements, development agreements, and related contracts
  • Negotiate amendments, extensions, modifications, and settlement agreements
  • Work directly with clients to develop litigation and risk management strategies

Requirements

  • 6-9 years of commercial real estate litigation experience
  • Strong commercial litigation background
  • Experience handling landlord tenant disputes
  • Experience with construction related disputes and construction contracts
  • Experience with lease disputes, license agreements, and development agreements
  • Experience in mediation, arbitration, and alternative dispute resolution
  • Excellent research, writing, and advocacy skills
  • Active New York Bar admission
