Job description

Quality Manager (Manufacturing)

Position: Quality Manager
Location: State College, PA (On-site)
Salary Range: $80K - $105K (Depending on Experience)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Quality Manager to lead and oversee quality assurance operations in a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality control procedures to drive continuous improvement across products, processes, and services. The Quality Manager will serve as the Quality Management Representative and play a key role in customer satisfaction, cost reduction, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead daily operations of the final test group and quality department
- Ensure on-time delivery of First Article Inspections (FAIs)
- Oversee incoming, in-process, and final product inspections
- Analyze test results and collaborate with production teams
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
- Maintain and update quality records including QMS documents, SOPs, and inspection reports
- Implement and maintain ISO standards and documentation
- Support customer audits and resolve complaints and feedback
- Lead internal audit programs and issue corrective actions
- Support design reviews, risk management, and design transfer processes
- Collaborate with manufacturing engineering on process control and improvement
- Utilize statistical techniques and electronic SPC programs for quality monitoring
- Prepare reports demonstrating effectiveness of quality systems

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of experience with ISO quality systems in manufacturing
- Minimum 1 year of experience managing quality technicians
- Strong knowledge of statistical principles and GD&T
- ASQ Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt preferred
- Experience with metrology devices and MRP systems
- Proven ability to lead process improvement initiatives

Skills & Abilities:

- Proficiency in ISO-9001 quality systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities
- Skilled in MS Office, Minitab, and electronic SPC tools
- Familiarity with SQC, SPC, FMEA, DOE, and risk analysis
