Quality Assurance Inspector - Aerospace 

Pompano Beach, FL | Aerospace & Aviation | $70,000/Year + Bonus + Full Benefits

Are you an experienced aviation quality professional with a strong understanding of FAA regulations, airworthiness requirements, and aerospace quality systems? We are seeking a Quality Assurance Inspector to join our team and play a critical role in ensuring the quality, compliance, and airworthiness of aerospace components shipped to customers worldwide. In this role, you will work closely with suppliers, customers, OEMs, and regulatory agencies to maintain the highest quality standards while supporting a growing aerospace operation.

Key Responsibilities

Quality & Airworthiness Compliance

  • Inspect and certify aerospace parts to ensure compliance with FAA requirements.
  • Issue and process FAA Form 8130-3 airworthiness certifications.
  • Serve as a Designated Quality Representative (DQR) for various aerospace manufacturers.
  • Verify that supplier-provided products meet quality and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain compliance with FAA regulations, OEM requirements, and quality management systems.
  • Manage the Quality Control Hold Area and disposition nonconforming material

Quality Assurance & Problem Resolution

  • Investigate and resolve product quality issues.
  • Process customer returns and support corrective action activities.
  • Conduct internal quality audits and support AS9100 compliance initiatives.
  • Review documentation, specifications, and engineering drawings for accuracy and compliance.
  • Develop and maintain quality processes, procedures, work instructions, and training documentation

Customer & Regulatory Interaction

  • Serve as a liaison with customers, suppliers, OEMs, and the FAA.
  • Support shipping operations through inspection and certification activities.
  • Ensure all quality documentation is complete, accurate, and audit-ready.
  • Promote continuous improvement within the Quality Management System.

 

Qualifications

  • Experience in aviation and quality assurance environments.
  • Direct experience working with FAA regulations or military equivalent quality standards.
  • Ability to inspect and determine airworthiness of aerospace hardware.
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
  • High level of computer proficiency. 

Preferred

  • Experience serving as a Designated Quality Representative (DQR).
  • Familiarity with AS9100 quality standards and aerospace auditing requirements.
  • Experience issuing FAA Form 8130-3 certifications.
  • Background working with aerospace OEMs, suppliers, and regulatory agencies.
