Project Manager - Systems Integration

System Integration Project Manager

Position Overview
We are seeking a System Integration Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex industrial system integration projects with a focus on gas systems. The role is responsible for planning, coordinating and executing integration, commissioning and handover activities while working with Life Saving Systems (LSS) to optimize schedule, quality and cost. The successful candidate will work across design, controls (PLCs), vendors and operations to ensure safe, compliant and efficient project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end system integration projects for gas-related systems, including planning, execution, commissioning and handover to operations.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams (controls, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, design and vendors) to ensure integrated, auditable solutions.
  • Manage project scope, schedule, budget and risks; prepare and maintain project plans, reports and change control documentation.
  • Oversee PLC integration and control system interfaces; validate logic, I/O mapping and communications during FAT/SAT and site commissioning (nice-to-have responsibility).
  • Plan and execute commissioning and start-up activities, including FAT/SAT support, testing protocols, trouble-shooting and remediation.
  • Review and approve design deliverables and ensure designs meet integration, safety, regulatory and operational requirements (design oversight as a nice-to-have).
  • Perform technical and commercial vendor management, procurement support and subcontractor coordination to secure deliverables on time and to specification.
  • Conduct technical analysis and performance validation to confirm system behavior meets operational and safety criteria (analysis skills as nice-to-have).
  • Ensure compliance with gas industry codes, safety standards and company procedures; lead HSE risk assessments during integration and commissioning.
  • Communicate progress, risks and mitigation plans to stakeholders and senior management; facilitate project meetings and stakeholder workshops.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Control Systems) or related technical discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years experience managing industrial system integration or projects within the gas sector (required).
  • Demonstrated experience with Lean Six Sigma (LSS) tools and methods; Green Belt or higher preferred (required).
  • Practical experience with PLCs and control system integration, including FAT/SAT and commissioning activities (nice to have).
  • Proven project management skills including scope, schedule, budget and risk management; PMP or equivalent certification is a plus (nice to have).
  • Experience with design review, technical analysis and system validation to support integrated solutions (nice to have).
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication and leadership skills with ability to lead cross-functional teams and work with external vendors.
  • Proficiency with project management and engineering tools (MS Project, scheduling tools, control system configuration tools).
  • Willingness to travel to sites for commissioning and support as required, and ability to work in safety-critical environments.
