Project Manager - Architecture & Design
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead architectural and design projects from concept through completion. The successful candidate will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage schedules and budgets, maintain client relationships, and ensure delivery of high-quality design documentation. Strong leadership, technical proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit, and a solid understanding of architectural workflows are essential to drive project success and meet client objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead project planning, scheduling, and budgeting to deliver milestones on time and within scope and budget.
- Coordinate and supervise multidisciplinary teams including architects, engineers, consultants, and contractors.
- Develop and maintain project documentation, drawings, and specifications; review technical deliverables for quality and compliance.
- Manage client communication and stakeholder expectations, conduct regular progress meetings, and provide transparent project reporting.
- Implement risk management strategies to identify, mitigate, and resolve project issues proactively.
- Ensure design coordination between disciplines and oversee the integration of AutoCAD and Revit models into project deliverables.
- Monitor procurement, contractor performance, and change orders; approve invoices and manage project financial reporting.
- Enforce quality control processes, ensure compliance with building codes and regulations, and promote best practices in design and construction.
- Mentor and develop team members, fostering a collaborative environment and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field; Masters degree preferred.
- 5+ years of project management experience in architecture, design, or construction environments.
- Proven proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit with experience integrating BIM workflows into project delivery.
- Strong leadership and people-management skills with experience leading multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication, client-facing, and stakeholder-management abilities.
- Demonstrated experience managing project budgets, schedules, procurement, and contracts.
- Familiarity with local building codes, permitting processes, and construction administration.
- PMP, AIA, or equivalent professional certification is a plus; proficiency with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Procore) preferred.
