Production Supervisor - Corrugate
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead day-to-day operations in a corrugate manufacturing environment. The Production Supervisor will oversee production crews, ensure safe and efficient operation of equipment, maintain quality standards, and drive continuous improvement to meet production targets and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, coach and develop production operators to achieve daily production targets while maintaining high safety and quality standards.
- Schedule and coordinate workflow, staffing, and machine assignments for corrugate production lines to optimize efficiency and minimize downtime.
- Monitor production processes and equipment performance; troubleshoot issues and coordinate maintenance to reduce unplanned stoppages.
- Ensure products meet quality specifications through regular inspections, adherence to procedures, and collaboration with quality control teams.
- Implement and enforce safety policies, conduct safety meetings, and ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety regulations.
- Analyze production metrics and KPIs; prepare reports and recommend process improvements to increase throughput and reduce waste.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, 5S, Kaizen) and support root cause analysis for recurring production issues.
- Coordinate with inventory, maintenance, and logistics teams to ensure material availability and timely shipping of finished goods.
- Train new employees on equipment operation, standard work, and safety protocols; maintain training records and competency assessments.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of manufacturing experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role, ideally in corrugate or related converting industries.
- Strong knowledge of production processes, machine operation, and maintenance procedures in corrugate manufacturing.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams, manage performance, and develop talent.
- Proven experience with safety programs, quality control practices, and continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, 5S, Kaizen).
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational and communication skills; able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Proficient with production tracking systems and basic computer applications (MS Office).
