Production Manager

Based in San Antonio, we're a leading automotive manufacturer producing precision-engineered components for some of the most recognized vehicle brands in North America. Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead and grow in an automotive manufacturing environment. The Production Manager will oversee day-to-day production activities, ensure product quality, maintain production schedules, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor and develop production supervisors, leads and floor staff to maintain high performance and engagement.
  • Manage production schedules, resource allocation and workflow to ensure timely output and efficient use of capacity.
  • Implement and monitor manufacturing processes, standard work, and quality control procedures to ensure product conformance.
  • Identify and lead continuous improvement projects (Lean, Kaizen, 5S) to increase productivity, reduce waste and lower costs.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, maintenance and supply chain teams to resolve production issues and support new product introductions.
  • Monitor production metrics (OEE, throughput, scrap, downtime) and provide regular reports and action plans to senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with EHS regulations 
  • Manage budgetary responsibilities including labor, materials and equipment costs and recommend improvements to control expenditures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field preferred
  • 3+ years of progressive production leadership experience 
  • Proven experience managing production teams and implementing Lean manufacturing practices
  • Background in automotive manufacturing processes
  • Hands-on experience with production planning, scheduling, and use of manufacturing metrics (OEE, throughput, downtime analysis).
  • Proficiency with manufacturing software (ERP/MRP) and MS Office; familiarity with production equipment and maintenance practices.
