Senior Process Development Engineer
Location: Chicago, IL
Salary: $102,995 - $169,226 + 10% Bonus

We are seeking a Senior Process Development Engineer to lead process research, scale-up, and manufacturing technology development for innovative products and processes. This role offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of R&D, process engineering, and commercialization, helping transform laboratory concepts into robust manufacturing solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead process development, scale-up, and technology transfer initiatives.
- Design and execute laboratory, pilot-scale, and production-scale experiments.
- Develop process models, simulations, and process optimization strategies.
- Apply engineering fundamentals and scale-up principles to manufacturing challenges.
- Analyze experimental data and provide technical recommendations.
- Collaborate with R&D, Operations, and business teams to commercialize new products.
- Develop and improve process development methodologies and best practices.
- Present technical findings to stakeholders and leadership.
- Mentor junior engineers, scientists, and technicians.
- Support innovation and continuous improvement efforts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or related discipline. Master's or PhD preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in process development, scale-up, or process R&D.
- Strong expertise in process modeling, simulation, and data analysis.
- Experience with process optimization and manufacturing technologies.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
