Title: PLC Maintenance Technician (Food Manufacturing)
Location: Bellmawr, NJ (08031) (East Philadelphia)
Hourly Pay: $40-$50
Schedule: 1ST Shift

We are looking for a hands on Maintenance Mechanic with experience programming & troubleshooting PLC / Automation systems to join our team that thrives in a fast-paced environment that values craftsmanship and continuous improvement.
What You Will Be Doing
- Install, configure, and commission automation systems including PLCs, HMIs, sensors, and actuators
- Perform PLC and HMI troubleshooting and make program adjustments as needed (ladder logic, FactoryTalk, Wonderware, etc.)
- Troubleshoot and repair production equipment across mechanical, electrical, and automation systems
- Maintain and repair conveyors, industrial ovens, and production lines
- Execute preventive maintenance (PMs) to reduce downtime and improve equipment reliability
- Diagnose and resolve equipment failures quickly in a fast-paced production environment
- Support automation improvements and assist with system upgrades or modifications
- Work hands-on with mechanical systems including pneumatics and hydraulics
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve performance and efficiency
- Use CMMS to document maintenance activities and track work orders
- Ensure compliance with safety, food safety, and quality standards
- Work in a production environment that may include heat, physical activity, and equipment access at heights
What You Will Need For This Job
- Experience as an Automation Technician, Maintenance Mechanic, or similar role in manufacturing
- Strong hands-on experience with both mechanical systems and automation equipment
- Ability to troubleshoot PLC systems (must be more than basic exposure)
- Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting (ladder logic required)
- Familiarity with HMI systems such as FactoryTalk, Wonderware, or similar platforms
- Experience with industrial communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus preferred)
- Strong mechanical skills including conveyors, production equipment, pneumatics, and hydraulics
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings
- Experience performing preventive maintenance (PM programs)
- Comfortable working in a hands-on role that includes both controls and mechanical work
- Willingness to troubleshoot equipment on the floor, not just focus on programming
- Experience in food manufacturing or high-speed production environments preferred
- Technical training or equivalent hands-on experience in automation or maintenance
