Litigation Paralegal
Position Overview
A growing plaintiff-side litigation practice is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys handling complex personal injury matters. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who excels in legal drafting, case management, discovery, and trial preparation while thriving in a fast-paced litigation environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, prepare, and file pleadings in accordance with court rules, formatting requirements, and deadlines
- Propound and manage discovery, including preparing requests, responses, proof of service, and related documentation
- Communicate regularly with clients to obtain case information, records, and supporting documentation
- Review, analyze, and organize case files, evidence, discovery materials, and litigation documents
- Draft and manage litigation-related documents, including deposition notices, subpoenas, vehicle inspection requests, and medical examination responses
- Coordinate depositions, hearings, expert activities, and other case-related events
- Maintain accurate and organized electronic and physical case files
- Work closely with attorneys, clients, experts, witnesses, and other parties regarding case status and deadlines
- Assist with expert designations, file management, and trial preparation activities
- Provide litigation and trial support, including exhibit preparation, trial binders, witness coordination, and courtroom assistance
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of civil litigation paralegal experience, preferably within personal injury litigation
- Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program or a Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Proficiency with legal research platforms and case management software
- Strong understanding of state and federal court rules and procedures
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet critical deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to maintaining client confidentiality
