P6 Scheduler

P6 Scheduler

Location: Fremont, CA (Bay Area)
Compensation: $100,000 - $160,000+ (salary depends on experience)

About the Opportunity

Our client is a well-established construction contractor seeking a P6 Scheduler to support complex commercial and industrial construction projects throughout Northern California. This individual will play a key role in project planning, schedule development, progress tracking, delay analysis, and claims support.

This is an excellent opportunity for a scheduler looking to work on large-scale projects while partnering closely with project managers, superintendents, and executive leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and update project schedules utilizing Oracle Primavera P6
  • Create baseline schedules and monitor project progress against planned milestones
  • Perform critical path analysis and identify schedule risks and potential delays
  • Collaborate with project teams to gather schedule updates and forecast project completion
  • Analyze schedule impacts resulting from changes, delays, and unforeseen events
  • Assist with preparation of recovery schedules and mitigation plans
  • Support schedule-related claims, delay analysis, and dispute resolution efforts
  • Generate scheduling reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
  • Maintain schedule documentation and ensure compliance with project requirements

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of construction scheduling experience
  • Proficiency with Oracle Primavera P6
  • Understanding of CPM (Critical Path Method) scheduling principles
  • Experience supporting commercial, industrial, infrastructure, mechanical, or heavy construction projects
  • Ability to analyze schedule impacts and communicate findings effectively
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with delay analysis, forensic scheduling, or claims support
  • Understanding of project controls and cost/schedule integration
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, or related field
  • Experience working with general contractors, specialty contractors, or engineering/construction consulting firms
