Orthopedic Patient Care Specialist

Title: Orthopedic Patient Care Specialist
Location: Irvine, CA, 92612
Salary: $30 - $34/hour DOE

As we continue to grow, we're looking for an Orthopedic Patient Care Specialist to support patients through orthopedic product fitting, billing and documentation coordination, and exceptional customer service throughout their recovery journey.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Fit and educate patients on orthopedic braces and related products, ensuring proper use, care, and expected outcomes.
  • Serve as a resource for physicians and clinical staff by providing product knowledge, training, and support on orthopedic bracing solutions.
  • Manage inventory, product replenishment, order fulfillment, and account documentation to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Prepare and coordinate insurance authorizations, billing documentation, claims follow-up, and reimbursement activities while ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Partner with internal teams and healthcare providers to resolve issues, maintain regulatory compliance (HIPAA/FDA), and deliver exceptional patient experience.

What You Need for This Position

  • Associate degree, healthcare certification, or equivalent hands-on experience in orthotics, athletic training, sports medicine, DME, or patient care.
  • Experience working in an orthopedic clinic, physician office, sports medicine, rehabilitation, or related healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of orthopedic bracing, fitting procedures, and patient education preferred.
  • Professional certifications such as CFo, BOC, Athletic Trainer, or Orthopaedic Technologist are preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) and the ability to learn new systems and software.
