Multimedia System Engineer
Position Overview
We are seeking a Multimedia System Engineer - this would be a System Program Manager with an engineering background.
This role would design, develop, integrate, and support advanced multimedia systems for automotive and enterprise applications. This role centers on multimedia development, creating compelling PowerPoint presentations and design artifacts, and delivering robust automotive multimedia solutions (infotainment, IVI, audio/video pipelines). The ideal candidate will combine hands on engineering with systems integration, streaming and codec expertise, AV hardware knowledge, networking competence, and clear executive level communication and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, execute, and deliver cross generation multimedia programs from a technical and architect perspective.
- Multimedia product planning, development, launch to QA and release.
- Ownership of the multimedia program end to end, supplier alignment, milestone management, Japan Headquarters coordination, cross domain triage, and executive communication.
- Design, develop and integrate multimedia subsystems for automotive and commercial deployments, including infotainment (IVI) and in-vehicle multimedia features.
Qualifications
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3+yrs direct experience in automotive multimedia/in-vehicle infotainment systems.
- Strong proficiency creating technical and executive PowerPoint deliverables and design documentation.
- Experience with program management
- Excellent communication skills, ability to work cross functionally, drive product requirements, and present to executives.
