Litigation Attorney (Employment Law)

Position Overview

A growing plaintiff-side employment law practice is seeking an Employment Litigation Attorney to advocate for employees whose workplace rights have been violated. This role involves representing clients through all stages of litigation involving wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wage and hour matters. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, strong communicator, and dedicated advocate who thrives in a collaborative, results-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle all aspects of employment litigation, including case strategy, discovery, and motion practice
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, depositions, and arbitrations
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, settlement agreements, and other litigation-related documents
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and courts throughout the litigation process
  • Manage an active caseload independently while collaborating with attorneys and support staff
  • Develop litigation strategies designed to achieve favorable outcomes for clients
  • Advocate on behalf of employees in matters involving wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wage and hour violations

Qualifications

  • Active California State Bar membership in good standing
  • 3 to 7 years of employment litigation or related civil litigation experience
  • Strong knowledge of California employment laws, including FEHA, CFRA, FMLA, and wage and hour regulations
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and courtroom advocacy abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Track record of independently handling litigation matters and managing a robust caseload
