Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all phases of litigation from inception through trial, including drafting complaints, answers, motions, and briefs.
  • Develop and execute discovery plans: prepare and respond to written discovery, coordinate depositions, and analyze evidence.
  • Prepare for and attend court appearances, hearings, mediations, and depositions; support trial preparation and strategy sessions.

  • Maintain regular client communication, provide status updates, and advise clients on litigation strategy and risk assessment.
  • Collaborate with partners and colleagues to develop case strategy, share workload, and mentor junior staff as needed.
  • Manage case files, calendars, and deadlines to ensure compliance with court rules and firm standards.
  • Support business development efforts, including preparation of pitch materials and participation in client meetings.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school and membership in good standing with the state bar.
  • Prior experience as an Associate or Attorney with demonstrated litigation experience in civil matters.
  • Strong litigation skills including drafting pleadings and motions, taking and defending depositions, conducting discovery, and courtroom experience.
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and courts, and to work collaboratively within a team.
