Job description
Join a top-tier commercial litigation practice in Los Angeles handling high-stakes disputes in entertainment, brand protection, and business-critical matters - with direct trial exposure and mentorship from accomplished trial lawyers from day one.
What you'll do
- Manage written discovery and complex document productions across multi-party commercial disputes
- Draft and argue dispositive and non-dispositive motions, pleadings, and litigation memoranda
- Take and defend depositions with increasing autonomy as you develop your trial skill set - Lead witness interviews and prepare witnesses for deposition and trial
- Support all phases of trial strategy and courtroom proceedings alongside senior trial counsel
- Collaborate with partners and clients to shape case strategy from inception through resolution
- Independently manage a portfolio of matters in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
What you need
- 4-5 years of commercial litigation experience at a law firm or through a federal judicial clerkship
- Active admission to the California State Bar (in good standing)
- Proven experience conducting discovery, drafting motions and pleadings, and taking or defending depositions
- Strong analytical, written, and oral advocacy skills with sound independent judgment
Nice to have
- Experience in entertainment law, media disputes, brand protection, or reputational litigation
- Exposure to both plaintiff-side and defense-side commercial matters
- Federal judicial clerkship experience
- Outstanding law school academic record from an ABA-accredited institution
