Lead Mechanical Designer

Mechanical Designer

A well-established, family-oriented construction management firm specializing in complex, large-scale building projects is seeking a Mechanical Designer to support project teams. This organization focuses on challenging work across healthcare, education, industrial, and commercial sectors-delivering high-profile, technically demanding builds.

This is a hands-on design role responsible for producing accurate mechanical construction documents using Revit and related tools, working closely with engineers and multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop HVAC, piping, and mechanical system layouts using Revit and design software
  • Produce coordinated construction documents based on engineering direction
  • Collaborate with architectural, structural, electrical, and plumbing teams
  • Support BIM coordination, clash detection, and model updates
  • Incorporate revisions and maintain high-quality design documentation across multiple projects

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 2+ years of design experience
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
  • Experience with commercial, healthcare, industrial, or similar building projects
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems and piping design
  • Detail-oriented with strong collaboration skills
