Junior Partner (Transactional Real Estate)

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled transactional real estate attorney to join our Real Estate practice as a Junior Partner. This role is ideal for a senior attorney with at least seven years of experience who is ready to take on greater responsibility, lead deals, and contribute to the growth of a well-regarded commercial real estate practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent clients in a broad range of commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, developments, and financings.
  • Draft, negotiate, and close complex transaction documents, including purchase and sale agreements, loan documents, joint venture/operating agreements, leases, and related instruments.
  • Conduct and oversee due diligence (title, survey, environmental, zoning/entitlements, and related matters).
  • Advise developers, investors, lenders, landlords, tenants, and corporate clients on structuring and risk allocation in real estate deals.
  • Manage all phases of transactions from letter of intent through closing, coordinating with internal specialists (tax, environmental, land use, finance) and external parties.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships and actively participate in business development efforts.
  • Support the continued growth and visibility of the firm's real estate practice in the Pittsburgh market and beyond.

Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to the Florida bar.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience focused on transactional real estate at a reputable law firm or in-house legal department.
  • Strong technical skills in commercial real estate acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, joint ventures, and/or financing.
  • Experience handling sophisticated, multi-party transactions and coordinating cross-practice teams.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, project management, and client-communication skills.
  • Demonstrated business development aptitude or a portable book of business is a significant plus.
  • Collaborative mindset, sound judgment, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deal-driven environment.
