Insurance Defense Litigation Attorney

 $110,000 - $150,000 Base Salary+ bonuses

We are a highly regarded civil defense litigation firm with a reputation built in the courtroom, not just the conference room. Our attorneys represent manufacturers, businesses, insurers, and other sophisticated clients in complex litigation matters, approaching every case with the mindset that it may ultimately be tried before a jury. As our practice continues to grow, we are seeking an Insurance Defense Litigation Attorney with 2+ years of litigation experience to join our Orlando office.

Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Active membership in the Florida Bar
  • Minimum 2 years of litigation experience
  • Experience in insurance defense and/or civil defense litigation
  • Strong writing, research, and analytical skills
  • Deposition and courtroom experience preferred
  • Ability to independently manage files while collaborating within a team environment

What You'll Handle

This role offers immediate exposure to sophisticated litigation matters from inception through resolution. Relevant experience includes, but is not limited to:

  • Product Liability
  • Automotive Products Liability
  • Construction Defect Litigation
  • Premises Liability
  • Defective Repair Claims
  • General Civil Litigation
  • Insurance Defense Matters

You will work closely with experienced trial attorneys on complex cases involving businesses, manufacturers, and other commercial clients in state and federal courts. 

Responsibilities

  • Manage litigation files from intake through trial preparation
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery
  • Take and defend depositions
  • Conduct legal research and prepare case strategy analyses
  • Attend hearings, mediations, and court appearances
  • Communicate directly with clients, carriers, experts, and opposing counsel
  • Assist with trial preparation and courtroom advocacy
