Job description
We are seeking an experienced Insurance Coverage Attorney to join our New York office. We are looking for a motivated attorney who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and is interested in handling sophisticated insurance coverage and litigation matters for a diverse client base.
This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who enjoys analytical legal work, strategic counseling, and courtroom advocacy while working alongside an experienced team with a strong reputation in the insurance and litigation space.
Responsibilities
-Analyze and interpret insurance policies and coverage issues
-Draft coverage opinions, reservation of rights letters, and declination letters
-Handle insurance coverage litigation matters from inception through resolution
-Conduct legal research and prepare motions, pleadings, and discovery
-Represent clients in court appearances, mediations, and depositions
-Communicate directly with insurers, insureds, and opposing counsel
-Manage case files independently while collaborating with partners and team members
Qualifications
-J.D.
-Active admission to the New York Bar
-3+ years of insurance coverage and/or insurance defense experience preferred
-Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills
-Experience handling complex litigation matters is a plus
-Ability to manage deadlines and multiple matters effectively
-Professional, client-focused communication skills
