Baltimore-Washington DC Metro Area | Field-Based | $50/HR + OT + Bonus

Travel Territory

This position primarily supports clients throughout the Baltimore-Washington DC Metro Area, with occasional travel throughout Virginia, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and New Jersey.

We're seeking an Instrument Field Service Technician to provide calibration, maintenance, and technical support for critical manufacturing, laboratory, and utility systems throughout the Baltimore-Washington region.

What You'll Do

  • Perform calibration and service work in accordance with company and client procedures
  • Maintain calibration standards and ensure equipment remains in optimal working condition
  • Create, update, and execute calibration procedures
  • Develop and manage monthly calibration schedules
  • Coordinate planned maintenance and calibration activities with equipment owners
  • Complete calibration documentation, certificates, and compliance records
  • Provide technical support for instrumentation and calibration processes
  • Assist with equipment and facility qualification activities
  • Recommend instrumentation and controls upgrades and best practices
  • Support a variety of critical systems including:
    • Autoclaves
    • Incubators
    • Refrigerators & Freezers
    • Bioreactors & Fermenters
    • AHUs
    • BMS/BAS Systems
    • CIP/SIP Systems
    • RODI & WFI Systems
    • Utility Systems

 

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Calibration Technician, Instrument Technician, Metrology Technician, or related technical field role
  • Hands-on experience calibrating industrial instrumentation and process equipment
  • Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently in client facilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree, trade school certification, or technical training
  • Experience supporting biopharmaceutical, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or GMP-regulated environments
  • Knowledge of instrumentation used in manufacturing, laboratory, and utility systems
  • Experience with calibration scheduling and documentation systems

Compensation

  • $50.00 per hour
  • Eligible for overtime pay
  • Annual Profit-Sharing Bonus
