Field Service Engineer

Position Overview
The Field Service Engineer is responsible for providing on-site technical support and maintenance for semiconductor manufacturing equipment. This role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and optimizing machinery to ensure maximum efficiency and uptime for clients in the semiconductor industry. The right candidate will also perform integration, startup, and commissioning of automated systems. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of semiconductor fabrication equipment at customer sites
  • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues using electrical schematics
  • Implement process improvements to enhance equipment performance
  • Conduct training for customer personnel on equipment operation and maintenance
  • Document service activities and maintain accurate records of work performed
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to develop solutions for complex technical problems
  • Utilize PLC programming knowledge for equipment diagnostics and modifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
  • Experience in semiconductor manufacturing or related industry
  • Strong understanding of electrical schematics and wiring
  • Proficiency in PLC programming and troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with process improvement methodologies
  • Ability to operate and maintain power tools
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Willingness to travel to customer locations as required
