Job Title: Estimator
Location: Maple Valley, WA
Salary Rate: $150,000 - $200,000
My client is a top civil construction contractor who are looking for estimators located in Washington to join their growing team. We are looking for an estimator with 3+ years of civil construction experience with experience with large earthwork projects and federal experience. If that sounds like you, lets connect.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret project blueprints, drawings, and specifications accurately.
- Utilize computerized bidding systems proficiently to streamline processes.
- Prepare detailed estimates, proposals, and cost information.
- Coordinate pre-construction meetings and support project teams.
- Maintain profitability standards and company goals consistently.
- Attend company meetings and lead departmental meetings as required.
- Handle customer requests professionally and promptly.
- Manage business development activities and contract negotiations.
- Follow up diligently on submitted proposals and prioritize bidding efforts.
- Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Promote safety practices and compliance on job sites.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management preferred.
- 3+ years of civil construction estimating experience
- Demonstrated track record of consistently securing profitable project awards.
- Strong knowledge of excavating, equipment, and materials.
- Proficient in computerized bidding systems
- Experience with Agtek also beneficial
