Employment Litigation Partner - Labor & Employment
A nationally recognized, full-service law firm is expanding its Labor & Employment Practice Group and seeking a seasoned Employment Litigation Partner to lead high-stakes defense matters and help shape the next chapter of a growing, collaborative practice in San Francisco.
What you'll do:
- Lead sophisticated employment defense matters - wage and hour, PAGA, class and collective actions, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination - from inception through resolution
- Try and argue complex cases in California state and federal courts and represent employers before the EEOC, U.S. Department of Labor, and state administrative agencies
- Deliver strategic employment counseling and proactive risk-management advice that helps clients stay ahead of liability
- Supervise, mentor, and develop associates and legal staff, building the depth of the practice group
- Cultivate and grow lasting client relationships; portable book of business welcomed but not required
- Collaborate with firm leadership on practice development, thought leadership, and industry positioning
- Contribute to a culture of excellence, inclusion, and mutual support across the broader Labor & Employment team
What you need:
- 10+ years of employment defense litigation experience, with significant wage and hour and class action exposure
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex litigation in California state and federal courts
- Proven leadership and mentoring track record - you have developed other attorneys
- Strong advocacy, analytical writing, and client communication skills
- Active California Bar admission in good standing
Nice to have:
- Portable book of business (welcomed, not required)
- Administrative agency hearing experience (EEOC, DLSE, DFEH/CRD)
- Experience advising multi-state employers on California-specific compliance
- Prior law firm partnership or practice group leadership experience

-Base salary $200,000 - $300,000 depending on experience and portable business
