Job description
Electrical Service & Installation Technician
Hourly: up to $44/hr
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Position Overview
Based in Phoenix, AZ, we're an established specialty trade, design-build contractor that focuses on a wide range of commercial and industrial projects. Our electrical division is growing and we are seeking our first electrical service and installation technician.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing electrical installations, service calls, and maintenance tasks to ensure the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems in residential and commercial settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Report to our Operations Service Manager
- Perform electrical installations and upgrades according to specifications and local codes
- Conduct service calls to troubleshoot and repair electrical issues
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to facilitate installation and repair tasks
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety regulations during all work
- Utilize hand tools and power tools for installation, maintenance, and repair tasks
- Test electrical systems and circuits using diagnostic hardware and electrical meters
- Collaborate with customers to understand their electrical needs and provide expert solutions
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
- Launch from home and follow the assigned daily service schedule
- Work on-call, as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 4+ years of experience as an electrical service and installation technician
- Strong knowledge of electrical installation and repair techniques
- Familiarity with electrical codes and safety standards
- Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints and schematics
- Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools
- Strong troubleshooting skills with electrical systems and circuits
- Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation
- Relevant certifications in electrical installation or maintenance preferred
- Ability to travel locally for projects
- Ability to work on an on-call schedule
