CNC Machine Operator / Technician - TB-DECO

CNC Machine Technician - TB-DECO - URGENT NEED! 

Location: Franklin, MA

1st shift! Can work between 6am-5pm EST your choice of start time 

Pay: $30/hr - $40/hr DOE (possibly higher for right candidate) 

Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machine Operator / Technician specializing in TB-DECO controls and the DECO machine line to set up, operate and maintain CNC turning centers producing small-diameter, high-precision parts. This role focuses on precision and micro-machining, program modification and optimization, routine measurement and inspection, and mechanical/electrical troubleshooting to meet strict quality and regulatory requirements (ISO9001, EN9100, ITAR). The ideal candidate ensures efficient production, first-pass yield, and continuous improvement while maintaining documentation and traceability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up, load, and operate DECO CNC turning machines using TB-DECO control software to manufacture small-diameter/small-size precision parts.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and GD&T to produce parts to tolerance and surface finish requirements.
  • Create, modify and optimize TB-DECO programs and tooling offsets to improve cycle time, part quality and machine stability.
  • Perform first-article setups and full setup jobs including tooling selection, offsets, work holding and fixtures for micro-machining operations.
  • Carry out regular in-process inspection and measurement at defined frequencies using calipers, micrometers, optical comparators and CMMs; document results and take corrective action when required.
  • Conduct mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and routine preventive maintenance on DECO machines to minimize downtime and escalate complex issues to maintenance specialists.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience operating and programming DECO CNC turning machines with TB-DECO software is a huge plus.
  • Strong background in CNC turning for small-diameter/small-size precision parts and micro-machining.
  • Experience performing full setup jobs, tooling selection, work holding and first-article inspections.
  • Skilled at modifying CNC programs, optimizing cycle times and applying tooling offsets and compensation.
  • Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems sufficient to perform routine troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
  • Familiarity with measurement equipment and establishing measurement frequency/control plans.
  • Working knowledge of quality standards and regulations including ISO9001 and EN9100; experience handling ITAR-controlled parts is a plus.
