Job description
Senior CMM Programmer
Based in Woburn, MA, we are an industry leader manufacturing highly engineered electro-mechanical products for customers operating in regulated and technology-driven industries.
We're seeking a Senior CMM Programmer with strong PC-DMIS experience to support quality, manufacturing, and engineering teams through advanced dimensional inspection, metrology, and program development. This role will be responsible for creating and optimizing CMM programs, supporting quality initiatives, and helping ensure products meet customer and engineering requirements.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Develop, modify, and optimize CMM programs using PC-DMIS
- Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections on machined and fabricated components
- Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements
- Support manufacturing and engineering teams with dimensional analysis and problem-solving activities
- Analyze inspection data and communicate dimensional concerns to quality and production teams
- Assist with root cause investigations related to dimensional non-conformances
- Support process improvement initiatives to reduce scrap, rework, and quality-related costs
- Maintain inspection documentation and quality records
- Mentor and support junior inspectors and quality technicians as needed
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of hands-on CMM programming experience
- Experience programming and operating CMM equipment using PC-DMIS
- Strong understanding of GD&T and blueprint interpretation
- Experience inspecting machined, fabricated, or electro-mechanical components
- Knowledge of metrology principles, inspection techniques, and quality control practices
- Experience working within ISO 9001 or AS9100 environments preferred
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
