Audit Senior
Title: Senior Accountant / Assurance Senior (Hybrid)
Location: Oakbrook Terrace, IL 
Compensation: $80k - $110k depending on experience

In this role, you will bridge the gap between fieldwork execution and strategic firm leadership, gaining direct mentorship from partners while developing your own management skills.
What you will do
  • Lead engagements: Manage assurance engagements from planning to execution for for-profit businesses, non-profits, and employee benefit plans.
  • Direct teams: Oversee daily staff assignments, maintain engagement budgets, and optimize job efficiency.
  • Own relationships: Act as the primary liaison between clients, staff, and firm management to ensure seamless communication.
  • Deliver quality: Prepare financial statements and complex compliance deliverables aligned with firm standards.
  • Collaborate closely: Work directly with managers and partners, leveraging continuous on-the-job education and technical training.

What you bring
  • Experience: Progressive background in public accounting with hands-on experience running audit/assurance engagements.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA designation is highly preferred (or actively pursuing).
  • Leadership: Proven ability to mentor, train, and review the work of junior staff.
  • Tech stack: Proficiency with Excel and accounting platforms; experience with Thomson Reuters applications, QuickBooks, or Lacerte is a plus.
  • Mindset: A curious, growth-oriented attitude with the willingness to travel locally for client visits.
