Job description
We are a growing CPA firm in Pompano Beach, FL seeking an experienced Audit Senior to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an audit professional who enjoys working closely with clients and has a strong background in construction industry audits.
We are looking for someone who can take ownership of audit engagements, work directly with clients, and contribute to a collaborative and growing public accounting firm.
What You'll Do
Lead and manage audit engagements from planning through completion
Perform audits and reviews for clients within the construction industry
Analyze financial statements, account balances, and internal controls
Prepare and review audit workpapers and financial statements
Identify and communicate accounting and audit issues to management
Work closely with clients to understand their businesses and provide value-added guidance
Supervise and mentor staff accountants on engagements
Ensure engagements are completed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with professional standards
Communicate directly with clients and firm leadership throughout the audit process
What We're Looking For
-3+ years of public accounting audit experience
-Required: Construction industry audit experience
-Strong knowledge of GAAP and auditing standards
-Experience managing multiple engagements and meeting deadlines
-Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
-Ability to work independently while also being a collaborative team member
-Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
-Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
-CPA or CPA eligibility is preferred
