Associate Attorney - Plaintiff, Toxic tort, Slumlord Habitabilit

Established (15+ Years) Premier Firm Seeking Associate Attorney for Civil Litigation in Los Angeles, CA

An established firm based in Los Angeles, CA with over 15+ years in practice is seeking an Associate Attorney with 1+ years of experience to join their team onsite. This Attorney will support a caseload focused on toxic tort, mold, slumlord habitability, and personal injury matters on the plaintiff side, along with business defense litigation in state and federal courts.

Offer:
Salary range: $90,000-$120,000+, contingent on experience
Hybrid schedule available after six months, with one remote day per week

Qualifications:
1+ years of civil litigation experience on the plaintiff side
Exposure to toxic tort, mass tort, habitability, or personal injury matters is highly valued
Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
Active California Bar admission in good standing
Working knowledge of motion practice, written discovery, and deposition procedure
Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
Ability to work well within a small-firm, collaborative environment
Strong communication skills for client-facing interactions

Responsibilities:
Support a caseload of plaintiff civil litigation matters from intake through resolution under the guidance of senior attorneys
Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation documents
Assist with propounding and responding to written discovery
Assist in taking and defending depositions
Prepare for and observe oral argument in state and federal court, with growing opportunities for direct participation
Contribute to case strategy discussions alongside senior attorneys
Represent clients at hearings and mediations, with increasing opportunities to second-chair jury trials as experience develops
Provide clients with regular case updates under attorney supervision
