Litigation Associate
I'm working with a well-established regional litigation and business law firm seeking a Litigation Associate to join its Seattle office. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced attorney who enjoys managing cases independently, working directly with clients, and handling a diverse litigation practice in a collaborative, flexible environment.
The Opportunity
This role offers the chance to take ownership of sophisticated defense litigation matters across a broad range of industries and practice areas. What You'll Do
- Manage defense litigation matters from inception through resolution.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and provide strategic legal guidance.
- Conduct legal research, drafting, and analysis.
- Prepare and argue motions, attend hearings, and manage discovery.
- Take and defend depositions.
- Participate in trial preparation and courtroom proceedings.

What We're Looking For
- Active membership in the Washington State Bar.
- 5+ years of litigation experience.
- Proven ability to independently manage cases and client relationships.
- Strong legal writing, drafting, and research skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Experience with depositions, motions practice, and trial preparation.
- Prior law firm experience strongly preferred.
- Case management experience required.
- Experience representing public entities or school districts is a plus, but not required.
