Litigation Associate

Litigation Associate

I'm working with a well-established regional litigation and business law firm seeking a Litigation Associate to join its Seattle office. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced attorney who enjoys managing cases independently, working directly with clients, and handling a diverse litigation practice in a collaborative, flexible environment.
 

The Opportunity

This role offers the chance to take ownership of sophisticated defense litigation matters across a broad range of industries and practice areas. You'll work closely with clients, develop litigation strategy, and play an active role in all phases of case management while benefiting from a firm culture that values professional development, work-life balance, and flexibility.
 

What You'll Do

  • Manage defense litigation matters from inception through resolution.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and provide strategic legal guidance.
  • Conduct legal research, drafting, and analysis.
  • Prepare and argue motions, attend hearings, and manage discovery.
  • Take and defend depositions.
  • Participate in trial preparation and courtroom proceedings.
  • Handle matters involving:
    • Business Litigation
    • Construction Law
    • Data Breach & Security Response
    • Hospitality & Food-Borne Illness Litigation
    • Motor Vehicle Accidents
    • Premises Liability
    • Product Liability
    • Professional Liability

What We're Looking For

  • Active membership in the Washington State Bar.
  • 5+ years of litigation experience.
  • Proven ability to independently manage cases and client relationships.
  • Strong legal writing, drafting, and research skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Experience with depositions, motions practice, and trial preparation.
  • Prior law firm experience strongly preferred.
  • Case management experience required.
  • Experience representing public entities or school districts is a plus, but not required.
