- Coordinate subcontractor selection, scopes of work, and onsite logistics; facilitate pre-construction and coordination meetings.
- Prepare, review and process RFIs, submittals, change orders, and as-built documentation; maintain document control and filing systems (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam).
- Perform regular site visits to verify progress, quality of work, safety compliance and to support field teams in resolving technical or scheduling issues.
- Assist with procurement of materials and equipment, track lead times and delivery to ensure alignment with the schedule.
- Collaborate with project engineers, superintendents and design teams to interpret drawings, resolve constructability issues and implement design changes.
- Support quality control and safety programs by enforcing procedures, tracking punch lists, inspections and corrective actions.
- Compile and distribute weekly/monthly progress reports, meeting minutes, and other project communications to stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience in construction project roles with direct exposure to mid-rise, high-rise, multi-family or commercial projects; prior Assistant Project Manager experience preferred.
- Proven ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications and project documentation.
- Familiarity with construction management platforms (Procore, PlanGrid) and scheduling tools (MS Project, Primavera P6) as well as document markup tools (Bluebeam, AutoCAD basics a plus).
- Strong understanding of construction means and methods, estimating, cost control and change order management.
- Knowledge of local building codes, permitting processes and OSHA safety requirements.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills; capable of coordinating multiple trades and stakeholders under tight deadlines.
- Detail-oriented, proactive problem solver with a hands-on approach and ability to work both in the field and office.
- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation; ability to travel to active job sites daily as required.
- Certifications such as OSHA 10/30, LEED AP, or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) are a plus.
