Job description

Cunningham Children’s Home is seeking a Housekeeper to support the cleanliness and daily operations of our campus! This role is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across agency facilities while supporting laundry services as needed.

Schedule: Monday – Friday; 8-hour shifts

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform cleaning duties in Cunningham Children’s Home buildings on and off the main campus according to established schedules and quality standards
  • Operate cleaning equipment including floor scrubbers, buffers, carpet extractors, and vacuums
  • Complete specialty cleaning tasks such as carpet extraction, spray buffing, and stripping/waxing floors
  • Maintain adequate cleaning supply levels in designated areas
  • Support laundry operations using commercial washers and dryers when needed
  • Follow all agency safety procedures and maintain confidentiality standards


Qualifications

  • General knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment preferred
  • Ability to operate equipment such as buffers and carpet extractors
  • Basic English fluency required
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
  • Valid driver’s license required


Physical Requirements

  • Frequent walking, bending, and reaching
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 44–60 lbs
  • Use of cleaning equipment and exposure to cleaning chemicals
  • Occasional outdoor work and operation of agency vehicles
