Job description
JLG Manlift Operator
We are seeking an experienced JLG Manlift Operator to operate aerial lifts safely and efficiently at an industrial/shipyard worksite. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating JLG manlifts and understand proper safety procedures when working at elevated heights.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate JLG manlifts/aerial lifts to access elevated work areas.
- Perform pre-operation inspections and identify any equipment issues.
- Position the manlift safely and accurately according to job requirements.
- Follow all OSHA, site-specific, and company safety procedures.
- Maintain awareness of overhead obstructions, personnel, equipment, and surrounding work areas.
- Communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors while operating equipment.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience operating JLG manlifts/aerial lifts required.
- Current aerial lift/manlift certification preferred.
- Ability to work safely at elevated heights.
- Knowledge of basic equipment inspection and safe operating procedures.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Shipyard, industrial, or construction experience preferred.
- Must be dependable and safety-conscious.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to climb into and operate aerial lift equipment.
- Ability to work at elevated heights for extended periods.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and maneuver around an industrial worksite.
- Must be able to wear required PPE.
