General Healthcare Jobs

General Healthcare Jobs

Healthcare jobs are expected to lead other job industries in employment as the aging baby boomer generation will need more medical healthcare. This, along with the increased complexity of medical technology will create the demand for more professionals that are educationally qualified to fill healthcare job vacancies.

In 2006, there were 14 million healthcare jobs that were mainly centered in the healthcare industry. According to data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics there is a projected increase of 22 percent in healthcare employment during 2006 to 2016. Prospective healthcare job seekers should expect a large amount of available job opportunities with additional employment options coming from the need to replace workers that make efforts to change to other occupations or workers that opt to exit the workforce entirely. A high turnover ratio for these positions will also make available positions.
